I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and my latest passion around nutrition is Nutritigenomics (the study of how food affects each individual based on their genetic makeup). Currently I live in Seattle but I’m a California girl at heart :). I work part-time as a Dietitian at Crave Health, a multidisciplinary private health practice with other Registered Dietitian Nutritionists and licensed mental health counselors
I first started blogging so that I can share interesting nutrition tips and/or shed light to the many nutrition misconceptions you read or watch on the web. Today, I’m exited to start sharing information about the evolving field of nutritional genomics with you all! My graduate research was done in collaboration with the Exploratory Center for Obesity Research at the University of Washington and focused on analyzing food prices and access to healthy foods in Seattle by neighborhood income.
In my spare time I am the co-founder and board chair of a non-profit organization called Jolkona aimed at supporting social entrepreneurs from around the world and run around chasing my two kids. Prior to joining Crave Health I worked with several nutrition related start-ups, Food N’ Me, aimed at educating kids about healthy eating through games and e-books and FitMountain a daily virtual meal tracking and nutrition coaching platform. I have a BA in Business/Economics and a minor in Public Policy from UCLA and a Master in Public Health (MPH) and Nutrition from the University of Washington in Seattle. I’m currently working on advanced certification on Nutritional Genomics.

Oh yay I must have missed that post! Now I don’t have to pull it up from my facebook message everything I make it 🙂
hahaha. You might try the poppyseed one too. It’s super easy and very tasty. Might replace your banana bread standard.
